Baby Doll, 1988 sorrel mare, has been a top quality working ranch horse. The mare came to us from the Turner/Doggett horse program and had been shown in 4H halter to the state level. We used this mare as a working ranch horse for a number of years. Her ability to fill all needs was exceptional however the sorting pen was where we enjoyed her the most. She could do it all but to ride her in an active cutting and sorting activity was heaven. We retired her in 2002 from working and put her in the mare band. Her first foal was Bo 2003 gelding, California 2005 gelding, and Gabe 2006 colt. Photos are available to view by clicking on their names.

heart.png   Budhas Heartthrob (Click for Pedigree)

Heart is a 1991 gray mare with a sweet disposition. She is one of Bret's favorite ranch mounts. He hated to lose her to the breeding program. She was bred in the Turner/Doggett Cutting horse program and received training. We acquired her at 3 years old and were very pleased she quickly became a priceless ranch horse. She could anchor or pull any thing you could put a rope on. She did a wonderful job of any cutting or sorting job. In short, a day on this ranch horse was a joy. Heart is one of the special horses that can be turned up to a major motor or turn her off and place a child for a joy ride. She has tutored many a child on this ranch and others.  Heart is not for sale. Bret loves this mare.

Her first born 2006 Bullet offspring is a filly we named Kiwi.

osage 06.png  Aggressive Osage (click for Pedigree)

Osage is a Dr. Bound's 1992 dark sorrel mare, sturdy built and very correct. We acquired this mare in 2004. She produced Wishbone Mulder, winner of the 2006  OKFQHR Yearling Halter Gelding Class and 2006 Super Stakes.  She had an extremely nice dun/palomino 2006 colt Arnie that we were very proud of and expected him to lead in 2007 OKFQHR halter. Life happens. After a storm brought down a tree we had to put him down. It was heartbreaking. However her 2007 foal, Scott, is also an beautiful palomino colt, a Super Stakes foal, and being shown in 2008.

mary april.png  Peps Majorette (Click for Pedigree)

Mary is a Dr. Bound's 1996 bay mare, smart with good bones. She carries strong cow horse genetics. She has produced three really nice Bullet foals.

Her 2005 foals a good looking buckskin, Isabela. She is very light and willbe shown in 2008 in riding classes. Everyone who has ridden her is impressed with her ability.

The 2006 bay colt, Samson is wonderful. He is the whole package, talent, looks, brains and a joy to ride.

Her 2007 foal, Amber is a Super Stakes foal, placing 5th out of 23. Click on their names for pictures.

frisky april.png  Frisky Not Wimpy (Click for Pedigree)

Frisky is a Dr. Bound's 1996 bay mare. She is the picture of the perfect quarter horse by Bret's standards. (I really should update this photo.) Our son, Levi, started this mare for a neighbor. She showed great potential under saddle. A grand parent purchased this mare for his 3 year old grand son. She was not ridden again. She raised a 2001 mare foal which was still at her side when we purchased them in 2004. After 6 years hyadis from the saddle we had to try her out and were impressed that her training, from our son so many years ago, stuck. She is a nice mare under the saddle and if not for being in the mare band we would use her as a working ranch horse.

Her first born is 2001 sorrel mare Frisky D Lynx.

The 2006 red dun filly, Foxy is looking good, doing well under saddle.

Her 2007 foal, Dove is beautiful and a Super Stakes foal. She will be shown in yearling halter throughout 2008. Click on name for pictures.

julie back a.png  Frisky D Lynx (Click for Pedigree)

Julie is a 2001 sorrel mare with lots of personality. A really good looking mare will no flaws. She is an easily handled mare that would have made an excellent ranch horse but was bought for a mare and went straight to the breeding band.

Her 2006 dun/palomino filly Sandy, showed her mother's love of being a pet. In the pasture she insisted Bret scratch her first and all over. Sandy is no longer with us through no fault of hers. She was Bret's favorite foal and one of the best foals we raised. Life happens and we just have to move on.

Her 2007 foal, Rowdy, in a dunolino with a cute head, great disposition and good confirmation. He is a Super Stakes foal and was shown in 2007.
